Gordon Ray Young (1886-1948) was a journalist in Chicago and San Francisco, the literary editor of the , and author of over forty novels, including the Red Clark adventure books. The collection consists of manuscripts, periodicals, three newsclippings, and six issues of from 1926 featuring Young's serial, “Treasure”, later published as a book.
